Here’s just a few featured examples of replica work.

Archaeopteryx lithographica eggs
Created as part of a collection of prehistoric and contemporary eggs for a Museum education program addressing the evolution of dinosaurs and birds. These eggs were based on the latest scientific research and conjecture based on comparative estimates to extant species.

Fossilized megalodon tooth
Large otodus megalodon tooth created for a regional museum. Large specimens, over 170mm are rare finds indeed. The tooth was found in South Carolina and measures 174mm. The replica replaces the real tooth for display purposes.

Japanese bird eggs
Examples of the 32 eggs included in this collection for a private collector are Japanese Sparrowhawk, Japanese Green Pheasant, Rock Ptarmigan, Okinawan Rail, Blakiston’s Fish Owl, Crested Serpent Eagle, Oriental Stork and Red-Crowned Crane.

Elephant bird egg
Intact specimens of the extinct Elephant Bird eggs are very rare. The eggs of this enormous bird are the largest known to science measuring up to 33cm long. I’ve made several of these for museums and private collectors around the world.

Fossilized Trilobite
Example of a Trilobite replica, this one being created for a private collector to add “the crowning glory” to their extensive collection of these fossilized ancient marine arthropods. It measures approximately 100mm long.

Great Auk egg
The Great Auk (Pinguinus impennis) went extinct in the mid-19th century, and only 75 eggs remain. This specimen is named after its Mr. Shirley of Bristol, England, who acquired it around 1820. Initially thought a penguin egg, its true identity was only recognized 75 years later by Shirley’s grandson.
